Bheue Beauty – UX/UI Design Consultation

Bheue is a skincare brand designed to meet the unique needs of pregnancy, using clean, innovative, and naturally sourced ingredients. Their mission is to "Bring out the glow in motherhood," empowering women to Be Confident, Be Glowing, Be Radiant, Be Nourished, Be Informed, and most importantly, Be You.

As part of this project, I provided UX/UI design consultation from scratch, developing a Figma-based interface aligned with Shopify’s framework and collaborating with developers to implement the design while ensuring a seamless user experience.

My Role

  • Designed high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, aligning with Shopify’s framework to ensure seamless development and scalability.

  • Developed a modular design system that integrates smoothly with Shopify’s templating structure, allowing for flexibility in theme selection.

  • Provided a structured UX/UI roadmap for developers, including detailed design documentation, interaction guidelines, and component behavior to ensure smooth implementation.

  • Focused on improving usability, accessibility, and conversion optimisation while maintaining Bheue’s brand identity.

Global Reach & Product Origin

Since Bheue ships internationally (Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Singapore), I integrated UX/UI elements that support global sales:

Region selection UI for currency and shipping adaptation.

Country-based checkout optimised for international payments.

Additionally, as Bheue’s skincare range is made in France, I suggested reinforcing this through:

“Made in France” badges on product pages for credibility and luxury appeal.

A dedicated section in the About page highlighting French formulation and quality.

UX/UI Design Process

  • Redesigned the site structure, streamlining the navigation bar with intuitive dropdown categories:

    • Shop: All, Best Sellers, Skin Concerns, Gift Sets, Accessories.

    • About: Our Story, The Team, The Ingredients, Meet the Experts.

    Implemented progressive disclosure in filters, allowing users to refine searches without overwhelming choices.

    Introduced breadcrumbs for better navigation flow.

    • Designed faceted filtering (e.g., skin type, pregnancy stage, availability) to enhance usability.

    • Suggested dynamic product badges for "Pregnancy-Safe," "New Arrival," and "Best Seller" labels.

    Structured product pages with:

    • High-impact imagery

    • “Subscribe and Save” call-to-action

    • Clinical trial results and FAQs for credibility

    • Developed a Figma-based design system, ensuring:

    • Consistent typography hierarchy (H1-H6, body text).

    • Button styles (primary, secondary, and ghost).

    • Shopify-friendly grid system for scalability.

    • Applied WCAG-compliant contrast ratios for accessibility.

    • Designed context-aware hero images for blog and product pages.

    • Recommended a chatbot integration for user assistance with FAQs.

    • Introduced push notifications:

    • Regional-based prompts for correct currency selection.

    • Incentives like “Get 15% off when you sign up”.

    • Proposed lazy loading for product images to improve site speed.

I successfully designed a scalable, user-focused digital experience, balancing aesthetics with e-commerce functionality. By optimising the UI for Shopify’s framework, I ensured a smooth developer handoff, enabling seamless implementation. The final design reinforces Bheue’s mission, providing a trustworthy, accessible, and engaging platform for pregnancy-safe skincare.
